The Important Things of Life

I've been away from home for the past two weeks, a long time it seems to me. And I enjoyed every day I was away for. But there's something exciting about driving down a familiar road, knowing that every moment you're getting closer to home.

Then there's that moment when the front door opens and a crowd of siblings clusters round, all excited to see me, and all talking at once. So much news to catch up on! So many things I missed while I was away. So many little things of life to share.

"We missed you," they say. And I missed them. Two weeks is such a long time to be away from my family.

It's time to pick up the threads of life again. What was I doing before I went away? It's funny, but I can't remember. It can't have been all that important. So instead I'll think of important things to do, like hug my sisters, talk with my mum, have fun with my siblings. Important things like spending time with my family. Because, after all, what is more important than that?

  3. Hi, I agree, nothing is better than coming home! I do hope you had a nice holiday though.
It is nice to have younger people who car about you. That is one special thing.
Enjoy spending time with your family after so long away. I am sure they missed you heaps. My family would!

    1. Thank you Dream3r. It's good to be back. And I'm so sorry, but I accidentally deleted your comment instead of publishing it, thanks to my touch screen. That.l teach me to blog on my tablet instead of on the computer.

I think that if fun-ness isn't a word, then it definitely should be, because that is the perfect word to describe my life.
